Certified Organic Farms on the Rise

The USDA has announced there are currently over 28,000 Certified Organic operations in the U.S. (top map). For quick reference, this is almost 10,000 more than in 2013.

The really exciting news is the increase in Georgia, which is leading the Southeast (Florida is a region unto itself). We at GOPA would like to think our farmers had a small role in helping to bring about this change. With a little good fortune, the future for the Goober State is very green.
